Austrian Blockchain Center and Danang Fintech Lab Sign Cooperation Agreement on Blockchain Research and Education

During Da Nang Business, Finance and Technology Week 2026, the Austrian Blockchain Center (ABC Research) and Danang Fintech Lab (DFL24) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at deepening cooperation between Europe and Southeast Asia in blockchain research, education, and innovation.
The signing took place as part of the Vietnam High-Level Policy Dialogue, a key event of this year’s Da Nang Business, Finance and Technology Week. The MoU was signed by Professor Alfred Taudes, Managing Director of the Austrian Blockchain Center, and Ha My Tran, Founder and Legal Representative of DFL24.
Three Strategic Areas of Cooperation The partnership establishes a long-term framework for collaboration between the two institutions, built around three focus areas:
- Research and Applied Innovation:
- Joint initiatives in blockchain;
- Digital assets;
- Tokenization;
- Real-world assets (RWAs);
- Financial regulation;
- The development of regulatory sandboxes.
- Education and Knowledge Exchange:
- Executive education programs;
- Academic exchange;
- Applied research;
- Guest lectures;
Case studies designed to strengthen the link between research and industry practice.
- International Collaboration:
- Jointly organized conferences;
- Workshops, and publications;
- The networking of universities, researchers, businesses, policymakers, and innovation ecosystems across Europe and Southeast Asia.
- European Research Expertise Meets Vietnam’s Fintech Ecosystem
The Austrian Blockchain Center is regarded as one of the internationally recognized research centers in the blockchain field.

Through its cooperation with DFL24, which has strong ties to Vietnam’s fintech sector, the partnership aims to create new opportunities to:
- Accelerate blockchain innovation;
- Develop talent;
- Strengthen international partnerships supporting the growth of the digital economy in both regions.
According to both organizations, the MoU marks the starting point of a long-term partnership, with concrete joint projects to be developed in the coming months.
